Pride Weekend - June 29/30

Seattle Pride Parade - Sunday, June 30th

Lambert House will be in the Grand Marshal contingent of the Seattle Pride Parade this year, along with a number of other agencies, and Sue Bird and Megan Rapinoe! This means we’ll be at the front of the parade, behind Dykes on Bikes who always lead the parade in Seattle.

Staging Location: 4th Avenue between Pike & Union
Staging Time: 10:15-10:45am - we must be in the staging area by 10:45am
Parade Start Time: 11:00am | Length: ~1.1 miles, Seattle Pride estimates it will take 45 minutes to get to the end of the parade route (in past years it has been a bit longer)
Ending Location: Seattle Center - Everyone is on their own when we reach Seattle Center. Youth should make arrangements to meet parents, get home, etc. as necessary. We will have a booth on the roof of Fisher Pavilion at Seattle Center, and youth are welcome to use that as a meet up point.

Lambert House will have a pickup truck and a jeep that folks can get in and out of along the parade route if they need a break from walking. Seattle Public Schools will have a school bus in the Grand Marshall contingent as well and has said that anyone may get on the bus if they need a break from walking as well.

We will plan to take the 49 King County Metro bus from Saint Mark’s after Youth and Family Pride Brunch, to 5th and Pine, less than 2 blocks from our staging area. Youth and families may also meet Lambert House in the staging area, within the staging window noted above. Lambert House has black t-shirts with our logo on the front and back, and our vehicles will have Lambert House banners on them as well.

Youth & Family Pride Breakfast - Sunday, June 30th

Youth may invite parents, siblings, grandparents, or other important family members to join Lambert House for brunch before the Seattle Pride Parade.

This is great time to celebrate your LGBTQ+ child, and meet other queer families! All families are invited to join Lambert House in the Seattle Pride Parade after Brunch (see details below).

We have closed our RSVP form, though youth and families may still come to Breakfast!

Youth Pride Sleepover - Saturday, June 29th

Our annual tradition is returning from 9pm on Saturday, June 29th to 8:30am on Sunday, June 30th. Youth must apply to join, and the following conditions apply:

  • Youth must have sufficient program participation history that staff have an understanding of and confidence in their ability to follow all Lambert House rules during the sleepover.

  • Youth must be in good disciplinary standing.

  • With a maximum of 20 youth, this program fills up, so if you are not selected it is not necessarily because Lambert House has a concern about behavior.

Lambert House will provide snacks and soft drinks in the evening; youth are welcome to bring their own for themselves or to share. We will have access to a mini fridge and microwave only. There will be a 1:5 Adult:Youth ratio for the sleepover. Youth who leave on their own after the sleepover begins may not be permitted to re-enter. Youth may, with adult permission and chaperoning, go on a walking fieldtrip in the area.
